Sherwood America RX-4109 Stereo Receiver rx-4109 Stereo Receivers
Sherwood's incredibly affordable RX-4105 offers integrated preamplification and amplification, inputs for numerous audio source components, and advanced radio tuning and station access. The receiver delivers 100 watts RMS per channel x 2 for strong, clear sound across the audible spectrum--even at low listening levels. The company has lowered the amplifier's distortion relative to the previous model (the RX-4105), to less than 0.08 percent, while also giving the receiver a new layout borrowed from its higher-end components.
The RX-4105 uses totally discrete amplifiers for all channels (TDAS) to maintain its high power and low distortion. Use the receiver's A and B clip-type speaker outputs to power 2 different rooms, or to biwire a pair of speakers for more efficient amplification (with A outputs driving the woofers, for instance, and the B outputs driving the tweeters--make sure your speakers are compatible if this is a key feature for you).
The receiver also offers a handy 25-key remote control and switching for 2 pair of loudspeakers. Audio inputs switch between and amplify up to 4 additional components, including 2 requiring both inputs and outputs (such as a cassette deck and a VCR). The built-in AM/FM tuner features 30 station presets and auto station setup.
Other features include bass and treble tone controls, a dimmable fluorescent display, and a .25-inch headphone jack for private listening.
What's in the Box
Sherwood RX-4105 receiver, remote control, AC power supply cord, FM indoor antenna, AM loop antenna set, and owner's manual.
Experimenting at a pop concert!
I had to have a go at taking pics at a pop concert this weekend, it is tricky with the lighting (usually not enough) and contrast on people against black background, but the results aint too bad considering very slow shutter and lots of arms in the way! The photography was fun not too sure about the music. The subject of my shots were McFly!
This is actually part of an old factory unit in Sherwood that sells, surprisingly, Australian furniture. Brightens the place up.
After initially meeting up at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Ca- these 4 music geeks with shared influences ranging from The Beach Boys to Jimmy Eat World, decided to form a band. 400 shows and 4 years later, Tom Anderson, founder of My Space personally picked Sherwood to be one of the first groups on his new label. Once they singed with MySpace, Sherwood jumped on the Warped tour, played their hearts out and shook hands with every fan they could. Sherwood's work ethic and road-dog mentality had garnered them dedicated fans in every major and secondary market in the U.S.. Their tour dates in 2007 will continue to expose them to new fans in every part of the country. The band's debut release for MySpace Records is produced by Lou Giordano (Taking Back Sunday, Plain White T's, the Ataris) and expands on their trademark 'post-emo'sound, highlighting pop sensibilities while keeping their indie rock edge.
